ENTRANCE AND PARKING:
Escape the Pike is located in the rear, right side of the building up the stone steps. It is accessed by a driveway to the left of Teddy G’s Pub & Grille. Additional pictures of the facility have been placed at the bottom of this page for your convenience.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Massachusetts Turnpike (MASS PIKE), I-90- Take exit 9 (I-84 W). On I-84 W, take exit 3B (Rte. 131 E). Rte. 131 E is also Main St. Drive to 179 Main St. which will be on your right- just after the traffic light at the JC Penney plaza.
From Rte. 9 E or W- Turn onto Rte. 49 (PODUNK PIKE)-which is located between Klem’s and the Big Y Plaza. Follow until end. Merge right onto Rte. 20 W.
From Rte. 20 W- After you drive past the ramp for the MASS PIKE (I-90) and a left hand ramp for I-84, prepare to turn left onto Rte. 131 E at the upcoming traffic light. This is also Main St. Drive to 179 Main St. which will be on your right- just after the traffic light at the JC Penney plaza.
From Rte. 20 E- After you pass Friendly’s, look for Rte. 131 on your right, just before the traffic light. This is also Main St. Drive 1.5 miles to 179 Main St. which will be on your right- just after the traffic light at the JC Penney plaza.
From I-495 S or I-290 W- Take exit 25 B off of 495 S. to I-290 W. The exits for I-90 and Rte. 20 W are 1/4 mile apart from each other in Auburn, MA. To follow directions from the MASS PIKE, get in the right hand lane to take exit 7. To follow directions from Rte. 20 W, stay in the middle lane to take exit 6B immediately after passing the ramp to the MASS PIKE.
From I-84 E- Take exit 2, Rte 131. Turn right off ramp. Go straight through the intersection on River Rd. After the Yogi Bear Campground, go left at the fork onto Farquhar Rd. Follow this until the end. Turn right onto Rte. 131 E/ Main St. Drive to 179 Main St. which will be on your right- just after the traffic light at the JC Penney plaza.
From Rte. 44 (PROVIDENCE/ PUTNAM PIKE) or I-395- Rte 44 and I-395 intersect in Putnam, CT. Take I-395 N to exit 50 (Rte. 200 W). Turn left off ramp. (I-395 can be bypassed by Rte. 44 W drivers in Rhode Island by turning right on Pulaski Rd.- at the State Park- in Chepacet. Following this will bring one to the I-395 intersection with Rte. 200 W previously described.) After following Rte. 200 to Rte. 12 N in Thomspon, CT, follow the signs toward Southbridge, MA. Go left at the fork onto Rte. 131. At the traffic circle in Southbridge, MA, take the 3rd right following Rte. 131 W. After you pass the Scottish and Hamilton Inns in Sturbridge, MA, 179 Main St. will be on your left- just before the traffic light at the JC Penney Plaza.
From Rte. 146 N- Take exit 10 (I-90 or Rte. 20). If you would like to follow directions from the MASS PIKE, get in the left hand lane. The ramp for I-90 W is a left hand turn at a traffic light just after you cross the bridge. If you would like to follow directions from Rte. 20 W, go straight through that traffic light, eventually coming to the end of the road you are on. Rte. 20 W is a left hand turn towards Auburn.
From 91 S- Take exit 14 (I-90). Merge right again onto 2nd ramp for I-90. Merge left onto I-90 E. Follow MASS PIKE directions.
